This scheme of school buildings in the highlands of Scotland was undertaken by McErlean Plastering in January 2015.
Due to the harsh surroundings and unforgiving nature of the climate in the Scottish Highlands this project featured an external Tyrolean finish render. Applied using a hand operated or open-hopper spraying machine, the unique ‘honeycomb’ texture is built up using several strokes from different angles until a finished thickness of 4mm – 6mm is achieved.
Tyrolean is hardwearing & weatherproof, therefore highly suitable for coastal, suburban and rural environments, and as such is ideal for the volatile weather conditions in the highlands of Scotland. Our skilled team are skilled and knowledgeable in the unique needs of each area of the UK and Ireland and as such can apply their skills on any project in any area. Our liability insurance and site qualifications plus our excellent supplier and materials contacts mean that we can step straight onto site anywhere in the UK and Ireland seamlessly and deliver the same standard of excellent workmanship and efficient project delivery wherever the site may be.
