Through rain and shine the McErlean Plastering team battled to deliver a superbly finished Church on the edge of Omagh.
This traditional build church was one of our most challenging projects having to contend with a waterlogged building and site and very wet conditions. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure that the finished plasterwork was of a top-quality standard despite the building being saturated with water.
The exterior of this building has been finished using K Rend Ivory FT for a clean contemporary coloured finish. McErlean Plastering is being frequently asked to supply more and more high-quality finished renders in both commercial and residential applications. This new generation of thru-colour finish coats are virtually maintenance free and come in a massive range of colours and shades. McErlean Plastering is approved applicators for Weber and K Rend making us well placed to advise on & apply a through colour finish render to suit your needs.
This project saw our team use a Mapei Topcem floor screed. This screed is fast drying and can be used for light applications 24 hours after laying.
The use of fast drying floor screed is becoming more popular in the construction industry throughout Northern Ireland. While it may be slightly more expensive than traditional sand and cement, with floor screed the drying time is greatly reduced thus adding to the speed of the overall build process on any contract.
The interior render on this project is traditional sand and cement skim. This project was completed ahead of programme and to a very high standard of finish.
