This larger scale development was undertaken for the principal developer Dixons Contractors. This scheme comprises of a well presented development of 40 new build timber frame homes on the commuter belt on the outskirts of greater Belfast.
The McErlean Plastering team has an excellent working relationship with the lead contractor and this allows our team greater freedom to manage manpower and materials on site to achieve their goals of budget and timescales more effectively.
The specification for this development was to carry out installation of plasterboard and skim finish to interior with traditional sand and cement render with bands to the exterior. This was then complimented by or team installing power floated concrete floors with all of the materials, equipment and manpower supplied and fitted by McErlean Plastering.
The benefit of McErlean Plastering delivering the complete surface finish package to the lead contractor in a case such as this is that the onus falls on our team to effectively manage the overlap of trades and the timing of certain actions to deliver a seamless delivery to the customer. Our team works efficiently to ensure each aspect follows seamlessly and that manpower is suitably staged so that there is no redundancy within the program due to outside delays and that materials are correctly times meaning there is no instances of double handling of materials on site. This means that the man hours on site are limited and that efficiency per hour is maximised, at a decreased cost to you.
